gooooood afternoon & happy friday everyone.

lately, our kitchen has looked a little different. my family & i have been trying to cut back on the sugars and heavy carbs — not in a sad “goodbye forever” way (don’t worry… cookie club is alive and well), but more in a let’s be wise about what makes up our everyday kind of way. so while the baking still happens — we're just not eating half the tray anymore! we're going a bit keto. i have been testing a few more nourishing, protein-rich, simple “snackie” recipes that feel good and actually keep you full… and I wanted to share what’s been on repeat around here lately.

let's get started

#1 chilled chocolate cottage cheese mousse

might sound strange but seriously it tastes so yummy & is like a pudding!

blend until smooth:
2 c full-fat cottage cheese (we get our @good culture cottage cheese from natural grocers or @dillon's)
1/4 c cocoa powder
1/4 honey
1/4 c coconut milk (optional if you don't want it to be overly rich & chocolatey)

chill for an hour & it turns thick + creamy. chocolatey goodness without the sugar crash!

#2 chia pudding

1/4 c chia seeds
1 can of coconut milk (organic from trader joe's)
flaxseed (however much you'd like)
sprinkle of salt
dash of vanilla
1/4 c honey

mix it all in a large bowl & place in fridge! i'd let it sit overnight & eat some for a nice breakfast

#3 healthier blueberry donuts

mix:
1 c cottage cheese (blended & creamy)
1 c almond flour
handful fresh blueberries
optional: honey! i used no sweetener & it was very rich/bland. your choice!

pour into a greased donut pan or mini muffin tin
bake at 350f for 18-20 mins

#4 mud/wtr :rise matcha

i love this as a gentler morning option - especially on slower days. still gives a lift without the jitters

#5 back to drip coffee

we still use our nespresso, but lately the drip pot has been making a comeback.
we found a no-sugar coconut creamer powder from natural grocers that’s been so good — warm, subtle, no sweetness overload.

#6 homemade kombucha

always brewing on the counter :))

#7 raw milk yogurt

we’ve been making our own again — thick, tangy, and simple. perfect with a few berries or just plain.

#7 fresh lemon water

not groundbreaking… but starting the day with it just feels right.

#8 lil almond flour chocolate protein balls

1 c almond flour
1/4 c honey
1/4 c flaxseed
1/4 c @steak shake chocolate flavored protein powder
sprinkle of salt
a few blended dates (optional)

#9 coconut fat bombs

simple + keeps you full.

mix:
1/2 cup coconut oil (softened)
1/4 cup almond butter
1–2 tbsp cocoa powder
tiny drizzle honey (optional)

pour into mini molds
freeze until solid

#10 savory egg bites

great for quick snacks.

whisk:
5 eggs
splash raw milk or cream
salt + pepper

stir in:
shredded cheese
chopped spinach or herbs
pour into a greased muffin tin with muffin wrappers to keep the egg from crusting
bake 350f for ~18 mins

that's all for this post. hope you enjoyed it! just sharing what's been working for us lately <3 balance is key!

cookie bakes still coming!

let's chat! what is a staple for you or your fam?

many blessings,
bylilyjohanna
