happy monday. it's april 27, which means we're standing right on the edge of may - close enough to smell the sunscreen & hear the ice cream trucks in the distance (for those who live in neighborhoods lol). april always feels like a transition month, but this last stretch is something softer & lighter, & you can just barely see summer over the horizon...we're almost there ☀️ it's been a lil while since i've posted & a lot of chaotic events are unfolding & changes will be happening very soon, so it's the perfect time for a happy list & to document what i'm most thankful for. here we go.
-we're moving. i'm excited for this new chapter & the upcoming changes. goodbye kansas & hello to the south
-road trips to the south, house-hunting
-coffee shops every day
-hugs from my parents
-grocery shopping
-cute new balance shoes
-getting back into working out (IRON series with Caroline Girvan)
-thrifting
-fresh, nutritious meals
-that short amount of time when it's just me & my dad/mom in the car
-open roads
-knowing the Lord has blessed me so much, brought us a buyer, & is making our move possible
-loud folk music in the car
-filling my journal & moving onto my summer one!
-the insane spring storms (4 inches 04/26/2026)
-the spring fluffy white clouds
-my new camp snap pro camera (literally so excited for this!!) check them out here
-long walks through the muddy trails
-barker coffee in lawrence
-coffee along the way when traveling (loved @the gray owl in norman ok 🦉& @cherry coffee downtown fort worth tx 🍒 - check em out)
-my baby's breath bouquet is still alive & beautiful on the table
-documenting life's precious moments w/ my new camera & going analog!
-meal prepping
-our dogs (all of em are so cute. it's precious how we're their whole life. i will never be dog-less 🥰)
-putting an offer in on a home
-sunlight coming through the windows
-afternoon rain when it's still sunny
-realizing the trees are fully green again, almost overnight
-that soft hum of lawnmowers in the distance
-driving with the windows down for the first time in months
-eating outside always
-yoggie bowls (always & forever - hard to find a granola w/o seed oils...)
-watching people come back outside again
-that almost-summer anticipation that makes ordinary days feel a little electric
-packing
-light lingering in the sky past 8pm
-getting into jumproping & loving it so much
-daily ab workouts
-going to the track more
-wearing sandals
-going analog
-time in prayer & reading in the psalms
-that mix of nostalgia & excitement living in the same moment
-windows open
-chatting & time on the front porch
-lemon water
-school ending soon
-getting cute glasses <3
-new boutique finds
-mail
-coffee all day every day
-talking to friends
