The Beauty of Travel

Travel, for us, isn’t about the perfect itinerary—it’s about the experience.
The kind you stumble into when you’re just cruising down a windy road and find an epic river to wade in. The kind that happens when you hike through Bryce Canyon with no signal, nothing but snacks and water bottles in your pack.
Our family has always traveled for food. We’re on a constant mission to find the best coffee shops, flakiest chocolate croissants (yes, I’m very in love), and the weirdest, most delicious foods we can get our hands on. Some of our best finds have come from the sketchiest little roadside joints—like the time we randomly stopped in Colorado and discovered, hands-down, the best doughnuts ever.
But it’s not just about food.
I mean, it kind of is...
Maybe...
We travel for the ambiance—for the way a place makes us feel.
To see God's beautiful creation. To enjoy what He has blessed us with.
The tall peaks of Utah or Colorado. Misty mornings and unexpected rain showers. The way the humid air sticks to your cheeks. The way the mountains feel different when you’re driving with the windows down and music playing.
Sometimes we end up in places where no one speaks English, and honestly, it’s the best. There’s something about getting a little lost, stepping into the unfamiliar, and letting spontaneity lead the way that just feels right.
So yes, we travel.
Not to check things off a list, but to find stories, the best food, even better views—and memories we’ll carry with us forever.
And as I keep writing and creating here on my blog, I want to start incorporating more of our travels—the hidden coffee shops, mountain trails, road trips, and little moments that make each place special. I want to bring you along, not just through photos, but through the stories, the smells, the sounds, and the memories that make traveling so deeply good.

xoxo,
